Going To Be a Busy Weekend

Today I will be going over to where we have the camper stored and I'll put the battery back in. Plus, I am going to attempt to replace a leaky toilet valve in the bathroom. We will see how that goes. All the YouTube videos I have seen on how to do it make it look easy. We will see if it actually is. Probably have some running to do. I think the wife wants to go to Ruler Foods. Not that we need much, but she wants a couple of things for a dessert she wants to make... Incidentally that we will bring with us to a family gathering at my sister's house tomorrow. Brother in law is smoking a prime rib, so that should be good.

Are we invited for lunch? I would not mind learning to fix a leaky valve while I am there. Have a rocking weekend.

Thanks very much. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the job done. Just too tight of a working space and hard for me to maneuver around with back issues, and can't see anything behind the toilet. lol. Oh well. On to plan B.

Good luck de-winterizing your camper. Hopefully, all goes as planned and you have that bad-boy ready for adventure. Enjoy the smoked prime rib. I will be spending the weekend at the beach soaking up some warm sunshine. Still a little on the cool side here in north Florida, but mostly just in the mornings. The afternoons should be perfect for sun worshiping.

@MarieCoyle People tell me I have what appears to be a permanent tan. Part of it probably stems from the Indian blood I have in me (Cherokee on my mom's side and Blackfoot on my dad's side), and part of it is probably because I'm a native Floridian and always out in the sun. It takes a lot for me to burn, usually I just turn a few shades darker. And yes, I am very liberal with the sunblock!

@MarieCoyle I have a lot of Irish in my family genes, but I guess the Indian genes were more dominant. Or, maybe it's just from living in Florida and being out in the sun all the time!

@moffittjc I am like my Dad was...just very pale skin (Irish, ya know!) and I can burn in a very few minutes. When I was younger, I envied those people who could tan so well.

Have fun at your sister's place. Isn't YouTube a great blessing if you want to do repairs?

@porwest That's a pity but I hear you loud and clear. We've had trouble in tight spaces before today.

It really is. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the job done. Not that the job isn't fairly straightforward. Just with my back, the tight space to work in, and not being able to see anything behind the toilet, it turned out to be a no go. I will have to find an alternative.

@porwest that's a bummer, so what's plan B? We're not doing anything, just staying at home.

Hope you all enjoyed your yummy Easter dinner. Dale and I are still sort of isolation, but we fried some fresh herring today that were really good.

I'm surprised it uses a battery. I never heard of that before. The only camping I ever did when I was young was in tents. My daughter and her family have a camper. My nephew smoked pork at his house for pulled pork. We got some to take home for leftovers from our Easter meal at his house. We also had cheesy potatoes, corn casserole and green bean casserole and fresh fruit. Dessert was Costco ice cream with toppings. I forgot I meant to check out your tube tonight to see if the directions were better for making a business page on FB.

I will be baking something for tomorrow to add to the meal at our son’s house. It will be a low key affair to keep from getting my husband too tired.

By “running to do” did you mean like errands or actual running?

Prime rib is just such a treat. We had that for Thanksgiving this past year, we had never done that before. We all loved the treat and the change. Enjoy your prime rib! And Happy Easter to you and your family.

You will succeed with the leaky toilet valve, I did it and it was easy to do. I would love to have a slice of that smoked prime rib.

Haven't had Prime Rib in years. The only place that had a decent priced primerib sandwich back then closed...and the other restaurant I went to went out of business. Now days it is way out of my pocketbook.budget. LOL Have a great weekend.
