When war is in the air the price of gold goes up... BAD sign!

@LindaOHio When people fear that the money value will drop in case of war, they buy what they think will keep the value. German currency was worth nothing after Germany lost WWII.

Gold goes up at a time when I no longer have any gold jewelry. I had spaghetti and sauce. BTW was your husband able to enjoy the food you brought him?

I didn't know that gold had gotten that high. Easter dinner was ham with lots of sides and too many desserts

We went to Mike's Moms after church and had a family meal together. Ham, baked beans, corn, green beans, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, broccoli and rolls. I didn't want all that she made but enjoyed all that I did eat.

I have never been a fan of gold as an investment nor a hedge, but I am glad to see it is enjoying some gains for those who have a stake in it. For dinner we had that prime rib at sis's house and some other goodies on the side. It was good food, good times, good drink and well worth it.
