I was able to catch an oldie but a goodie, LOL. Raising Arizona came out in 1987 and stars Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter. You will see quite a few familiar faces in this movie. It is rated PG-13 and is a Coen Brothers movie so you know the comedy is slap stick type comedy. If you’re not into goofy humor this might not be for you. It only runs 94 minutes so it will not take up your whole evening. The plot of the movie is convenience store robber meets police officer and marry. Eventually they kid nap a baby and the comedy follows. Remember, this was made in 1987 before the world lost its sense of humor. Yeah, kid napping is not really a funny subject, but I believe laughing at things that we normally should not laugh about is good for us. The rating is due to subject matter, language and light violence. If you’re looking for a serious movie this is not it but for me, it is a nice break from all the movies I usually watch. Not to mention it brings back some memories from the first time I saw it back in 1987 and it still makes me laugh. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5. It just made me laugh so much. I’m sure you can find it many places but I know you can find it right now on Amazon.
