genetic disorders?..do you happen to have one?..

lots of new ailments have creeped up in the past few years..or maybe they've always existed and we've realised their existence only as time flows and technology grows..take genetic disorders for example.. i have a recessive gene called HLAB27 that could give me or my children ankylosing spondylitis(a crippling spinal disorder)in the future,the ailment due to which my father is suffering..he's able to fight back due to thelatest developments in the field of medicine..biotechnology is helping him copeup.. do any of you have any such ailments?..or do you carry a recessive gene like me?..please share your experiences.. or do comment on these disorders if you are well informed about any related topic..
