There is a total solar eclipse happening here in America on Monday. Everyone seems to be going nuts about it. Yes I like science but I'm a biology person--not an earth science or astronomy person. That being said I will be done with work and back here at the apartment when the "totality" occurs. Where I live isn't directly in the path of totality (darkness) but we should see a lot of it. I know myself and I won't be able to resist looking up so I did the smart thing and ordered myself some solar eclipse glasses. Pretty much everyone other than Trump knows not to look up directly at an eclipse without proper eye protection. They were less than $15 on Amazon and arrived literally overnight. So now I'm ready to check out the eclipse! It has been funny seeing the news anchors on CNN wearing them when they are discussing the upcoming event. They can't see ANYTHING.

I may take a quick look up or I'll just notice that it got dark for a period. Have a good weekend

Haha! It seems to be a super big event. I don't know why everyone's so excited about it. I'm in Florida, I might not see much of anything.

Mai Hoomin still has his free glasses from the last solar eclipse in 2017 when we were in the path of 97% totality. This time it is 100% for us.
