Day 82 – Appointed Exodus 31:1 Then JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with the Ruwach of Elohiym, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, 5 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. 6 “I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all who are gifted artisans, that they may make all that I commanded you: 7 the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and the furniture of the tabernacle— 8 the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with its utensils, the altar of incense, 9 the altar of burnt offering with its utensils, and the laver and its base— 10 the garments of ministry, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, 11 and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they will do.” God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Ruwach – Spirit Elohiym – Mighty God God’s character: Delegator You have all been part of projects. When you got together to do whatever work you volunteered for, someone was always in charge of delegating the various aspects of the project. The leader knew your strengths and weaknesses and appointed you to the work you were best at. In that way the work progressed until you finished the project. JEHOVAH told Moses He appointed Bezalel and Aholiab to do the workmanship needed in the tabernacle. He gave them the Ruwach of Elohiym so they could do the work according to everything Moses instructed them. Do you know the calling on your life? As Christians the Ruwach of Elohiym lives in you and guides you in everything JEHOVAH called you to do. JEHOVAH called you for a specific purpose—to glorify Him in everything you do. He gave you the ability and the materials to do the work. You only need to trust Him to see the project to completion. If you wonder what JEHOVAH called you to do, consider your strengths and weaknesses. What do you enjoy doing? Do you work with your hands? Do you delegate the work as an administrator or supervisor? Do you provide the materials? Paul told the Roman Christians they each had gifts or talents to use in the body of Christ. Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. (NKJV) You each fall into one of those giftings to serve Elohiym with honor and praise in everything He called you to do. In whatever He called you to do, do it to the glory of Elohiym. Let’s pray: Father, You called me with a purpose for Your kingdom. Give me the strength and wisdom to do the work You called me to do. Let it glorify You and bring you honor and praise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 9 April 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.
