They put an ad for a freelance job of exam invigilator in my country. In the ad, there was mentioned that process and training will take up to 3 hours so, kind of vague and they asked only CV and cover letter to be sent.
At the first and I thought last online meeting, where I inquired about the training, nothing was mentioned except the person will let me know. Deadline was Wednesday, no email. Then it came they will let me know on Friday, today, which they did but sent me a list of additional requirements? What?
Wait a minute, no rounds or this was mentioned in either the ad or at the online meeting. They ask me to register on the page (why, I wonder), then to give them my emergency contact number (which is only given to hospital here) and 2 other things which in my country isn't done, especially for a freelance job.
I wonder, why couldn't they write this all in the ad so I could decide to apply or not. For a freelance job, they really ask for too much and I am disappointed to go through this since last 2-3 weeks. The job is set here, in my city and I really don't understand why even the meeting wasn't held in person...
Don't like this attitude... Maybe normal at your place, not here. And is it really that hard to employ someone if a person is willing to work and is qualified, just the thought.

It can be a bit sketchy, but also normal. When you apply for a job, any job, then you might find things you might be uncomfortable with. If you're that uncomfortable you can always decline. Up to you.
