Book review time! This is book 10 out of 72 for 2024 and it is "Crushed by Love" by Nina Verona. Crushed by Love is a retelling of Rome and Juilet in current times with billionaire twins and a young female raised in the system (foster care). Arden just graduated high school and has a summer live-in job for the Kings family. Ethan and Cooper King make her job hard and test her limits while sending her into her anxiety-driven hell. Arden tries to fight her feelings towards Ethan even though she has been warned and he's tried to keep his distance and rejects after advancing on Arden several times makes things so very confusing for Arden. Like Shakespeare Ethan and Arden have to deal with pasts, their families, themselves, and words of all secrets. These two didn't make it the first time they tried, can second chances happen? When all Arden wants is to belong, to have family, and stability in her life, or is the world trying to tell her she has to choice between fighting for love or fighting for family?
