Jay and I Texted 16 Times, Today

Yes, Jay and I have been texting back and forth, between Michigan and Alabama. The bottom line, we miss each other! And this is good, because we've been best friends for over 35 years.
The first two year, we attended church meetings, sang in the choir, went to singles group meetings and also, our local car wash together.
Why the car wash? Because, Jay needed two ladies to dry off his vehicle, while he was inside the laundry mat folding his clothes. Through the large windows, he could keep a close watch on us:)
Two fellas passed by in a truck and gave wolf calls to my daughter and me. Jay came flying out of the laundry mat like a wet hornet declaring, "Hey, those guys were hittin' on you!" Boy, was he ever mad
Well, it served him right:( Back then from a distance, I probably appeared to have more to offer than he'd ever imagined
Jay didn't like other men giving us the eye

Yes, we've had a very good life together, in spite of various mud puddles, we passed through! Every married couple experiences similar issues, doing our best to avoid hitting the brick walls.

We kid around with each other, neither one minds this one bit! At first, I'd get my feelings hurt. Then I realized, kidding around is just being silly, it's nothing to be hurt about.

I had no idea that Jay was crazy about me! He pretended like it didn't matter, we were just platonic friends. Shortly after this incident, Jay proposed marriage kneeling on one knee and I accepted
