Phew! I found the new location of the hearing aid place, and was taken in early. I told the young man that I saw at my appointment that it didn't make a difference whether my hearing aids were in or out, I heard the same. He said something about a filter, and went and cleaned it. I had noticed from the paper that said what the new location was that the head doctor and his assistant's last name were the same as a set of twins (boy and girl) that went to a preschool I worked with years ago. After the young man I saw today was done cleaning my hearing aids, I said, "Your last name is Xxxxx?" Him, "Yes." Me: "You're no relation to X and X Xxxxx?" Him: "They're my boss' grandkids." Me: I've been in contact with this young man before, and he's got the same last name as the boss, so I don't know if he's the son/nephew of the boss or what, but he never says, "My dad", "My uncle." he always says, "My boss." Anyhow, "Holy small world, Batman!" Haven't seen those kids in years. They're likely in first-to-third grade by now.

That's amazing. I'm glad your hearing aids work now, too.
