Pink musical pesto.

The sun shone on Larne today and I was caught off guard when I saw the tree at the end of our garden in glorious bloom. It was like a sudden burst of the Hallelujah Chorus sung by seraphs with trumpet blasts and shattered glass. The photo says nothing of the intensity of the pinkness of the blossoms but it’s the best I could do. All I could think of by way of response was to go into the kitchen and prepare some Pesto Genovese.

What sort of tree is it? Maybe a flowering fruit tree of some kind? We've now loaded an app which helps identify a plant. You might want to try this:

@judyev Now That is a useful app. Some kind of flowering cherry I think.

I love pink blossoms, there are many "pink trees" here around right now. I like the big magnolia trees, they also smell good.
