A horror story in the kitchen.

I got hungry, friends.
And there was this small bowl with creamed spinach leftovers. Of course it was cold so I put it in the microwave oven while I heated water.
Then I tried to take it out but it was too hot. So I went to get the thick kitchen glove. AND A GIANT SPIDER WAS WALKING OVER IT! JEEEZZZ!!!
I picked the glove by the opposite side and threw the spider in the sink. Then I opened the hot water over it.
I am not sure if the spider died then. But by then the water had boiled in the heater and I made sure that it got totally burned.
The small bowl was not as hot by then so I took out a spoon and I ate it.
Now I will eat one of the pancakes with syrup and cream. I deserve it.

I really hate finding a spider in the house. They give me the willies. I hope you drowned it well!

I drowned it and burned it! When I went to the kitchen to take the bowl to the sink, the spider was where I had left it. But I won´t clean up until tomorrow. Still, this was not a poisonous spider. But I don´t like any spider at home.

Me either. Spiders belong outside, in a field far from MY house!

I am terrified of spiders inside after I got bitten by the cousin of a brown recluse. I still have the scar.

@LadyDuck I was lucky. The brown recluse is poisonous. It is the only poisonous bug we have in my country. We also have scorpions but they are not really dangerous.

@marguicha I remember that you had an accident with the cousin of a brown recluse, those are very dangerous.

This was not a poisonous spider. I think it was a garden spider. But ever since I was bitten by a near cousin to the brown recluse, I don´t want any spider at home.

@TheHorse I remember that I read in a book long time ago that the Inuits used to eat lice for proteins. They must have been very needy. How many lice would you need for a lice steak? Or for a spider steak for that matter?I prefer cattle, pork and even chicks or fish.

This one was a garden spider. They are supposed to be beneficial as they eat the eggs of the brown recluse. But I don´t like bugs inside my house.

As I know it was not a poisonous spider, I was more disgusted than anything.

I did. The only problem was that Anita did not make as many as I would have wished.
