I’m happy to say we survived the weather. There were some pretty nasty storms in St. Louis and they looked like they were heading right for us. Thankfully, they started to weaken as they traveled along I-64. That’s cause for celebration, as is the next song on the list of songs from 1954. Happy 70th birthday to this song! You Done Me Wrong - Fats Domino As with a lot of early rock and roll, there’s not a whole heck of a lot, thematically (or lyrically for that matter) to this song. But you’re bopping to it as you listen. I know you are. A lot of people would argue about the “Mount Rushmore of Rock and Roll,” but I would contend that Antoine “Fats” Domino is required to be there. Elvis Presley also voted for him, telling him upon getting the chance to meet him, “You’re the real king of rock and roll.” We all know his songs like “Ain’t That a Shame” and his rendition of “Blueberry Hill” (which was originally recorded by Gene Autry, go figure), so this isn’t one that gets the “oldies” airplay.
