Well, you gotta take the good with the bad. My favorite "good and bad" titled songs that is. And as Meat Loaf says in his popular song "Two out of Three, Ain't Bad," that's just what I'm gonna do. We have 2 "Good" titled songs today, and one "Bad." Comments, musings, your own favorite "good or bad" titled songs and trivia always welcome... JOHNNY B. GOODE- CHUCK BERRY (1958) -What a great rock classic, so goode it was covered by The Beatles, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Grateful Dead. If you saw the "Back to the Future" movie the Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) character blows away the crowd at the Enchanted Evening Dance with this tune. This song is based on Berry's life. Berry got the name "Johnny" from Johnnie Johnson, a piano player who collaborated with Berry on many songs. *The music video shows off Berry's stage presence and is a must watch. Don't miss it! TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. See if you can guess these selections. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues! Name this week's tune, artist or facts: 1. This British Invasion group's song "I'm into Something Good" was a huge #1 hit in their own country but only made it to #13 in America. They did much better with two other tunes, #1 tracks "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" and "I'm Henry The VIII, I Am." The band was fronted by 16-year-old John F. Kennedy lookalike named "Peter Noone." -Do you know the name of this British group? 2. Here is your song title clues. The opposite of good is "______." The "sphere which comes out at night and orbits the earth" is called the "______." The sun "______" in the east and sets in the west. Put the 3 answers together to figure out the tune. From 1969-1972, this band was one of the most popular and prolific groups in music. With songs like "Green River, Travelin' Band, and Proud Mary," this San Francisco based band with the "Bayou Sound" filled the airwaves on U.S. classic rock radio. Can you name this band and their "bad-titled" song? 3. Bonus: Can you name one of the following Chuck Berry songs that has a "Girl's name" for a title? Clue: One girl's name begins with an "M" the other a "N." 4. Bonus 2: This band's guitarist and lead singer went on to a successful solo career with hits like "Centerfield" and "The Old Man Down the Road." Hoping you have a "good time and not a bad one" solving these artists and songs. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as the band Chicago would say, you can "Call on Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new edition in the near future. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com

You have to resist the urge to peek. Focus... That's "bad" form No, but I did a "mean Twist." And then there's the Mashed Potato, The Swim, The Pony, The Watusi, and The Skate. Did you do any of those dances? MORE MUSIC TRIVIA -CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" was used in the science-fiction movie An American Werewolf In London (1981). A fitting song for sure!

You have to resist the urge to peek. Focus... Do you like any of these playlist tunes? MORE MUSIC TRIVIA -Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, both future members of Led Zeppelin, played on some Herman's Hermits songs, but not "I'm into Something Good." -"Bad Moon Rising" was used in the science-fiction movie An American Werewolf In London (1981). A fitting song for sure!

1. Mrs. Brown, Herman has lovely Hermits! Great to see Peter Noone still out there in the oldies shows! 2. THERE’S A BATHROOM ON THE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!! I have a t-shirt that says that! Fogerty is so good at writing songs with multiple meanings; however, he said that “Bad Moon Rising” was honestly JUST about a hurricane. Long live CCR! Worthless trivia: they had five songs hit #2 on the charts, but no #1 songs. 3. “Carol” doesn’t start with an M or an N! I’ll have to talk to Maybellene or Nadine about that!!! 4. That would be John Cameron Fogerty.

Well done! Not one "bad" apple among those responses. Five #2's that has to be a record for one group! Ah yes, "Carol." We'll leave that one to Neil Sedaka, lol.
