I just spent a bunch of money on books. Used books, grant you, but books nonetheless. I need to continue several series' that I'm reading, and that was part of the reason for the book binge--and I still didn't get "next books" for all of the series' that I'm reading. A couple of the books I got are steps back into childhood: 1) a book I read back in elementary school -- that I found out was the first book in a series. and 2)A book that comes after one that I read back in elemetary school--that I didn't know had a sequel. So, I should be good for books for a while--and probably reading my way to my Amazon Goodreads goal (so far I'm at 12 out of 33). *(pictured is the book described thus: "1) a book I read back in elementary school -- that I found out was the first book in a series.") Hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

That is where I got the books I bought today. Thrift Books is my usual on-line place for books.

I assume that the 33 books goal is for the whole year of 2024. You are doing good with the goal. It's always nice to go back to the books that we have read earlier.

Yes, that's for the year. I have enjoyed reading books I haven't read in years.

@xstitcher I have not made any reading goals. But I keep reading whenever I get time and whatever I get hold of. I have many read books in my book cupboard and I would love to read them again.

I've been re-reading several books that are parts of series and get frustrated when I don't have the next one but do have the one after the next. When this happens, I check amazon to see if there's a "sneak preview" of the missing book. When there is, it's usually only a few chapters, but it keeps me in the loop, sort of.
