I was just reading an ad as I was getting to another notification about some contest. Wouldn't a vacation like that be nice? I fall asleep at night thinking about where I'd like to go sometimes. I would like to go to a resort somewhere interesting. Where I could eat fruit and fish and have facials, body wraps, manicures, pedicures and all the work. I could walk on the beaches in the evenings and be inside doated on during the heat of the day. What about yourself? What is your dream vacation? I like to see places like Venice, Paris, London, etc. But, in the U.S. I like to go to New Orleans on Amtrak and eat at the famous restaurants I've seen in programs on the Food Channel. I'd also like to take a few tours of the city and see some ghosts and other paranormal interests.

I enjoyed a lot our 2 weeks in New Orleans. Some restaurants we tried were very good, others deceiving.

@LadyDuck .........Does sound like you really have to check ahead to find a quality place. Sounds good.

@celticeagle - Some are "tourists traps", expensive and poor quality, but some are really good even if expensive. I liked a lot Antoine's in the Vieux Carré, it's French-Cajun.

I have a timeshare in Aruba. I have had it for over 30 years and many times I have traded it for other places in the world. My dream vacation now depends on how I feel. I am occationally thinking about selling it. It is one week in September but I can use it 2 years together and save on air fare. Now I want to find someone to come with me. That´s the first step.

I have been pretty lucky in that hubs and I have traveled the world and back several times. Now, because of terrorism and what is happening in the world, we haven’t been anywhere except the US, and that is scary enough.

That is lucky. I have only been to Canada and Mexico. Would love to see more but I doubt I will.

We would always choose the Florida Keys. It's our dream place; and it was where we wanted to move. Have a good day.
