Is this just the prediction of the events ?

So, One of my seniors asked me whether I am aware of tarot reading or not? For which
I responded "No". She continued telling me how the predictions are accurate and remedies work for her. Eventually, out of curiosity I have also started searching on You tube and what I found out was that
-what he/she is thinking/ current feeling about you
-timeless reading
-pick a card/pile that will explain
My question arises: why would I want to know what others are thinking? Isn’t it important for me to work on my personal development instead?
Once, I even come across a video on what other people think about you
Later when I try to listen, it looks like this or that person is jealous, harming you. He/she was born on this date. What the hell! In that case there is a high possibility to suspect anyone from my own circle if anything happens to you !! What the !!
Before going further, I stopped the video & cleared the watched history to prevent the recommendation on my homepage again.
Note: I am not offending anyone as I believe it may really work for some people however when I try to understand it gives me doubtful and wonder how does even work in anyone's personal life.

Tarot readings are part of occult practices. The Holy Bible warns, "Those who practice witchcraft (sorcery) will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:20-21).
There are many scripture verses that warn us not to practice anything Satan promotes.

@psanasangma Because too many people like to think that magically they can become rich or have a better life.

One of our close acquaintance is into professional tarot card reading. He has a lot of clients and has invited us too. But I prefer to stay away. I stay away from any such practices that will complicate my thinking and behaviour. I want to stay consciously in the present and do my best. I don't want predictions for future.

I found somewhat quite disturbing to know the future. I rather believe in living the present era with cautious way

@psanasangma Yes, I feel the same way. Knowing future will mess up with our mindset in present. And we can't live it fully.

I've been watching those videos.
There are actually a few who will talk about personal development and "keep their vibes high". I think a good popular channel for this purpose I can recommend would be White Feather Tarot.
When it comes to what other people think about me, they usually have a crush on me or whatever.
Speaking of the validity, the honest ones will usually say "rely on your intuition, this is not a personal reading so not all messages are for you, free will is a thing", making it entertaining more than anything else, but they'll also give generic advice that might be exactly what you needed to hear.
I don't think it's entirely bad or entirely good. And I don't even believe tarot is meant to predict the future, at best it can guide you towards what you're meant to do anyway.
