Dino´s tongue was thawed.

Yes. After I took out the wrappings, I decided that this was no ordinary veal tongue. It had to be a dinosaurus. It was the biggest tongue I have bought. I took out my pressure cooker, cut half an onion and threw in some dry oregano, washed Dino´s tongue and put it in the pot, added salt and water and turned on the gas of the stove. I think that I will "steal" some of it for me to eat today. The tongue is enough for several people. A bit less won´t be missed. Luna is inside her house. She feels that she is grounded and I won´t tell her otherwise, not while it is raining. She looked at me but she did not go out. Poor baby! It wasn´t her fault that she missbehaved. I suppose that the temptation was too big. Fortunatly, when I went to clean up the mess she had made, it wasn´t raining so much. In a while, when I go to the kitchen the lower the pressure cooker, I´ll make some mayo to eat with the tongue. And I might even boil a potato or 2. I bought new tiny potatoes and they are delicious with mayo. And I´ll make peace with Luna because when I cook tongue, she gets what I peel off. Tomorrow I could make a spinach and leek soup for my brother is Anita has time to wash and boil the spinach. I love that mixture. I´m glad it is raining. This drought has been more than Biblical. We are into our 8th year.

At least you got rain. We need some here, too. Our grass is crunchy.

@LadyDuck Nothing. And as I gave her the peel, we made up for the day when she was naughty.

I cook the spinach with leek and then I blend it. I add chicken broth and either cream or milk. It is delicious.

I love tongue, my mother used to boil beef(pork)tongue and then, sliced it thin with onions in a marinade. I wonder if Luna just gets bored, she's looking for something to do. Does she have any toys or doggy bones( stores sell these) to chew on? This gives her something to entertain herself.

@kobesbuddy I think that she now knows. She stayed inside her house almost all day. She grounded herself.

She has toys. And I bring her real pones to chew, once in a while. The gardeners should not have left the door open. Now I know that Luna also thinks that the garage is hers, if we let her in.

@marguicha Luna needs to realize where her boundaries end. The garage is going past her limit:(

@LindaOHio I dread the time of the year when I have to have heaters on all the time. It is very expensive.

Hope that you get enough rain and that solves the drought issue..Eight years is a long time. That tongue does sound like of Dino tongue. It might serve you few meals and Luna will also relish the peel.

I invited my brother and he eats a lot. Maybe I should slice some and hide part of it to eat later.
