DoorDash is out of its mind

I often order food from DoorDash. When I have been unhappy with what is delivered I certainly don't hesitate to contact customer support to file a complaint. Their refund policy is nuts. Like if you spend $25 on a pizza that arrives burned they will offer you like $3.71 in credit. Like I said--NUTS. But whatever. I've learned to accept that. Tonight was a whole new experience though. I placed an order that went through, was confirmed, and I was told that it would be delivered within minutes. . . and then the "Dasher" (delivery person) messaged me to say that the store had no record of my order on the app so it was going to be cancelled. Fine. I checked the app and it said that the order was refunded. Great. Then I received an email with my "final receipt" and it included a delivery fee, a service fee, tax, and--here's the best--an "undeliverable order" fee of $25. Wait so the total order was $70, THEY cancelled the order, and I still wound up being charged $40?!?!?!?! I was livid. I called DoorDash customer support and was like WTF. The guy said that he was authorized to refund me $15. As if I'm not already having major issues with my blood pressure. He said it was for the "undeliverable fee" since I wasn't the one who cancelled. Ok so you are refunding me $15 on a bogus $25 charge? What the hell? And I'm being charged service and delivery fees and tax on an order that never happened? The guy said he was going to escalate the issue and I should hear something within 48 hours. I made sure to get a case reference #. If I don't get a 100% refund then I will never use DoorDash again and I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. That is complete BS.

Sorry DoorDash treated you so bad. Have you seen those funny commercials Jennifer Aniston has made for Uber Eat? Perhaps you should switch to them apparently they deliver about anything,

Haven't seen them but I will check them out. I love her. Wait. Was that the one with David Schwimmer? I saw a commercial she did with him.

So far, my only problem with Door Dash has been ordering too often. It is costing me an arm and a leg. I have had refunds made but no problems with them.

You are such a good cook that you should have frozen food made by yourself. What you are telling us sound like a complete scam.

Wow and how Gawd awful. I use DoorDash to get me groceries now and my main issue has been that I had beets as a main salad for supper and Safeway didn't have beets!!!! Not D D's fault.

That's why I don't use aps like that directly. I order from the restaurant directly. Many of the places I order from, offer delivery through their app and you don't need to have an account with DoorDash or whatever.

Yes, definitely dispute the charge with your credit card company if you don't get every penny back.
