I think that man is innately good because no one is born to be bad, through luck of their environmental upbringing, people just turn out good or bad. There are exceptions of course, you could take, say twins, and put one in a house of love, and the other in a house of indifference and hostility, and watch how they both turn out. Totally different I suspect.

I completely believe that man is innately good even if he comes from a notorious family unless he is exposed to an environment that will influence him to be bad or do bad things.

Some people are born with a lack of humanity. Exactly why is unknown. It could be due to substance abuse by the mother, it could be genetic. Not all who treat others inhumanely were treated in that manner. For the most part humans are born with the ability to be good or bad (evil) in action and word. It is only a small percentage that have no hope of ever learning the good side, because it doesn't exist within them.

I tend to go with Plato's idea that man is innately evil. We are born evil and its the things we experience that turn us good or evil, but we still have a certain aspect in us that is bad. We all have bad thoughts and ideas and I think we are born that way, but it's our parents that change that.

I don't know, i think some people are just born bad, and how bad they turn out to be will depend on how they are raised. Some people just have a greater capacity for evil than others.

i think a child is born good by nature but is bent out of shape by life experience and concourse with others . The result of this is quite possibly negative and i guess our aim should be to return to that state of nature, not sure if this is possible though
