The cost of microsoft products

We all know about Microsoft and their products, but what really gets me is that all your paying for is to use the product as the eula states that you are paying a license just to use it, but you are not allowed to modify or alter it in anyway, my main concern is the cost of the new operating system windows vista. surely thats going to cost a lot more than a windows xp home edition.

You bet. Most peoples computers won't be able to handle the mininum anyway as I thing you need 1gb of memory? . I've never bought an OS seperatly from a computer, I've always had the OEM that's come with it
