I think most people are influenced by your parents to a certain extent, teenager usually go through a revolt against parents ideas but it seems to come back in many cases when they themselves become parents...

I think that parents provide a great influence in their children especially when it comes to decision making. It's natural to ask for their opinion because we think that they know what's best for us. Usually, people who doesn't know yet what their goals in life is would be easily influenced by their parents.
