How can I not be so nervous when making speeches?

Before i have a terrible fear of speaking in front of many people, but gradually it decreases due to the nature of my job (im into marketing). Today everytime i have a presentation i still have what they call "butterfly in my stomach", but not really that intense.

Hmm, you might have a point. Eventually you will do it so much that you just get used to it I guess.

You should need a lot of practice to get rid of that nervousness. once you do that many times you get accoustemed to that...

From what you have said, it sounds like you are slowly getting over you fear of public speaking. When you are speaking just imagine everybody in the room, is your best friend. Since you probably do not have a problem talking in front of your friends.

just bei confident.I too had a similar problem. The key is in my view is practice. When u are giving presentation on the stage i would suggest you that u practice a lot with ur speech and presentation.Learn it by heart and when u forget some words try not to panic but instead replace it with some word of your own having similar meaning. Also, three or four days prior to the presentation, try saying your speech standing in front of the mirror and looking into it.this will help you from loosing your concentration also it will guide u as to what to improve. Try to express yourself by streesing on some particular words so that the feeling behind using that word can come out.Try to put smile on your face if possible,I know thats difficult but beleive me its possible. also ,be well versed with your topic try to gather all the relevant information regarding that topic so that u automatically sound confident
