An offer offered by a friend.?

I was offered a senior position by a friend who was setting up a company but things are not as i have predicted.They are still trying to get investors to come aboard to invest with them. I have not been paid since last month, a small amount was given. How am i going to survive paying my wages,debts & etc.Any ideas? I am thinking of looking for another job but i don't want to let my friend down.I'm stuck
