What Chat program do you us and why?

There are ICQ, yahoo messenger, msn messsenger and Aim to name a few and even a few composite ones like Trillian

I don't use often chat programs; sometimes i use MSN Messenger because most of my friends use it.
I also use Miranda, that is a composite program (like Trillian, but freeware) that can be used with AIM, MSN, Yahoo, IRC.
I know also some online services like e-messenger.net and www.meebo.com that enables you to chat with your MSN, AOL and Yahoo buddies without having to install any program or Java applet.
