Do you make a shopping list ?

So, today’s question my dear MyLotters is ….
Do you make a shopping list ?
For myself, I have to say that I do make a list but also get things which are not on the list.
Sometimes I will meal plan ….although experience tells me that most times something will happen and meals will be changed !
So I really only plan a couple of meals ….i always have things for other meals already in anyway. I am lucky in that I am in town every day so if I need to get something extra it’s never a problem.
So do you make a list ….and do you stick to it ?

I'm exactly the same way! 
I always start with a list to stay organized and avoid forgetting essentials, but I'm also a sucker for a good unplanned find. Having a couple of meals planned takes the daily stress out of "what's for dinner?" without locking you into a rigid schedule. Your approach sounds perfectly balanced!

Yes and no. I don’t make a specific list (“get these and nothing else”); however, I do make a list of things I need.

I always make a list. Since I now order my groceries online for pickup by cousin #2, I stick to the list 99% of the time.

I make a list. It’s the best way I know of to stick to a budget. I also keep a list of things we are running low on or will need soon. Sticking to the list is important, but if I stumble on to a great bargain on something we use a lot of I may get it. Recently I found a super good buy on butter. It’s been ridiculously expensive and I pounced on that deal to put a few in the freezer. Half price is a huge savings. But it does have to be a great deal for me to stray from the list!

Yes I do. Mainly for a month. If items are out of stock, I'll do a small shopping list too.

I make a list on a dry erase board so I can write it down
when the time comes to go pay bills to buy the stuff
we need, " I do make a list but also get things which
are not on the list." the same thing happens with us too.
