Baltimore firefighters answered an emergency call regarding a young boy named Q who I guess as an act of being curious decided to place his hand between the handrails outside of the Baltimore World Trade Center on Wednesday October 1. ShaColbe Malon who is the mother of the child who was her child, watched when the Baltimore City Fire Department used the Jaws Of Life to break open the bars of the guardrail and free her son who is in good spirits after he was rescued. The Baltimore City Fire Department rewarded Q a tour of the fire department engine and have his picture taken with the firefighters who rescued him/ Hopefully Q will learn from this incident not to place his hands in between handrails again. I am in agreement with you that the boy will think twice before placing his ram between handrails again.

It's every curious kid's nightmare come true! Thank goodness for those firefighters and their quick thinking. What a wonderful way to turn a scary situation into a positive memory by giving him a tour. Hopefully the lesson sticks without scaring him too much!

@Deepizzaguy Definitely. Sometimes the best lessons come from real-life experiences, even the scary ones.

@reploid That is true since I can relate to what the boy went through when I was his age.

I am glad his hand was taken out of the handrail. He should now remember what happened and never put his hand in the handrail again.

From the photo, it looks as if it was his head that was stuck between the hand rails. Whatever the case, I bet he was glad to be freed from being trapped there.

That is true since the child was scared having his arms between the guardrails.

I am sure that his mom lectured him not to do that again.
