If you were in charge of the world, what’s the first rule you’d make?

Oh gosh, where would I even begin? This would be my #1 I guess. 1. Everybody has to work. No welfare. All able-bodied people work. And families would take care of the ones who couldn't. Didn't society used to be like this before government handouts? What's the incentive to work these days? Young people are "stressing out" if they have to actually physically go to an office or work more than 30 hours a week. Please! Societal members have to work to meet all of society's needs.

And where would you put the old bat in the attic who is totally alone and isolated from the world?

The first rule I'd make is that you have to pass a test before being allowed to procreate. You have to prove that you can not only be a good parent, but that you can financially afford to raise children.

I'll call your rule and raise you testing for the right to vote.

@Vikingswest1 Amen! I agree to that! Voting is not something to be taken lightly, and people should not vote just because politicians lie and promise to deliver the world to them.

@moffittjc Great rule Jeff, people must learn how to grow children before procreating.

I was thinking no murder, but okay… I mean mine’s not realistic, but I doubt anyone’s is going to be. Or do you mean one that isn’t law already? Then I’d probably go to make health care affordable. If they did mine, yours would be more realistic (at least one part of your law). Lol Oh, and my very large family ALL pay taxes. They DO pay for my care. Not a single one is on welfare or disability.

@MarieCoyle My dad would have gladly cared for the rest of his life for me if he could. But he almost got bankrupted by me, and twice by my mother’s health. Not to mention, you can’t keep kids on your insurance past twenty-five.

@AmbiePam It's just so expensive when some things are not covered. I know how your Dad feels, he would do anything he could, and he did...I would do the same and pretty much am.

@MarieCoyle - This is also my opinion, a serious company will never appoint a too old Manager, why a nation should do?

I wish the world was as simple and straightforward as you say. My hubby fought hard to get the social worker job that eventually he landed. He is blind so the working world was stacked against him- in their thinking, anyway.

My number one rule would be to do cleaning duties in a room that is in need of cleaning.

You will NEVER get me onboard with free healthcare for all. The ONLY reason ANY free healthcare would be worth giving away now is because someone had the incentive to profit from it before. Remove the profit incentive and your free healthcare won't be worth anything at all. You may as well just to talk to the cemetery curator and buy a plot. They'll be filling much faster.

I would be banning cruelty to animals and be thinking about making cities more human friendly, not just car friendly

We definitely made not working WAY too easy. Life without challenges makes for a very sedentary world. I'd make a rule that everyone must graduate high school fully versed in money education. I swear, 99% of the money problems people have is simply not knowing a thing about how it works, and how it can work for them.
