Crosby Township homeowner Mandy Hampton was sleeping in her home on Thursday when she, her husband and their two sons when a house fire started on their back deck of their home.
About 30 minutes later, Mandy's next-door neighbors got out of bed to feed their baby when Ben Braun saw a fire coming from their next-door neighbor's window. Ben took action by grabbing a sprinkler, jumped a fence and began to attempt to put out the fire.
Ben's wife called Mandy to inform her that their house caught fire to leave their home quickly before the firefighters arrived at the scene to douse the fire.
The cause of the fire was started with a pool pump vacuum that had lithium batteries spread throughout the home.
A couch was destroyed as well as melted a part of the siding of the home according to the finding of an investigation by the firefighters.
Lesson to be learned is that neighbors watch out for each other.

I am in agreement with you that the neighbors did save their next door neighbor from getting hurt in the fire.

Timing in life is so important. Yes, we need to watch out for one another. When I was a kid our neighbors were almost like family.

That is a good neighbour indeed, as a bad neighbour here would likely have started the fire, instead of try to put it out.
