Hello dear friends.
When I went to Dixie´s house, Humberto said that they were worried because my house has not been sold yet. And talking about this and that, I finally decided that instead of buying a smaller house, I´ll go to a senior house, the best here. If I don´t like to socialise with the people there I can just stay in my room as I do here and read or watch TV. And I can go to my friends´homes but they give nice food and there´s people taking care of us 24/7. There´s a cafeteria and a beauty parlor among other things. Tania told me all this 2 days ago when she came.
I have talked about this with my friends as most of them have either come here these last days or have taken me out.
Besides this, I have had problems signing into mylot. I feel that the new technology does not help me as it should.
Do you think that it is just old age?
Se you later, friends.

Marga, if the senior house is a good place where you know you are well treated this is a wise idea. I am sure that someone will be happy to get Luna. You do not need to worry about remodeling a smaller house, you will be fine not needing to cook every day and you can socialize with people if you like.

I´m almost sure that Claudia will accept Luna as I accepted my grandson´s dog, Misty, when he was dying. Claudia loves animals and so do her children.

@LadyDuck Claudia always takes care of Luna when I´m away. And I´m sure that both of my daughters will prefer that I go to a place where other people will take care of me than to have me living alone. Maids can clean and even cook but they know nothing about health. In this home it seems that they have everything.

I like the fact that they have a cafeteria and beauty parlor. I would probably stay in my room most of the time too. Something to really think about.

@marguicha I thought you were talking more about technology, which was my point how technology is making people kind of distant from one an other when they used to be much closer.

I think ythat if I go to a senior house, my youngest daughter Claudia will inherit Luna. Claudia loves animals and I accepted her son´s dog, Misty, when he was dying. She is the one that comes to feed her even when we are not in the best terms if I go away.

Oh, sweetie...you just don't need a big house anymore, or to have to fix all of your own foods. I imagine it will be fine, I bet you will make some good friends. The only thing I have to ask you about is--what will happen to your sweet Luna? I know you love that dog so much.

I´m sure that my youngest daughter Claudia will take care of Luna. And there are plan Bs. The senior home is closer to Dixie´s apartment than my house. So even if I don´t make new friends, I will not lose my life long friends.

Looks like a wise decision for a Senior Home but if it is well managed.
If it is well managed, it would be good.
Even if you get one or two people to socialize there, there ain't any harm.
And of course, you can go to the house of your well wishers in between.

I hope my youngest daughter will take Luna. The senior house I want to go to is the best one in the country and I can pay for it if I sell my house.
