I lied to my girl friend, should i tell her the truth??

I have lied to my girl friend about some sensitive issues. And it has been past a lot of days. The problem is also solved. But if she come to know, she will be really hurt. She can know it from other source. So, should i tell her the truth before she knows it from others? I dont want to make her upset.
Please advice me

If this is something that you know she will find out about, you need to tell her. The truth will be a lot worse if she hears about it from someone else.
