Let the head rule over heart?

Do you people think we should let the head rule over heart? or just let the heart rule the entire being of ourselves? Which is the more successful way? Any experiences in the response would be appreciated as it would make more sense and would be easier to learn from. Thank you all!

As much as I'm all for following my heart..I dont let it rule because that can put one in a dangerous postition...I let my heart be my minor guide but my head/logic and gut instinct rules every time as my major guide...your head isnt blinded by false feelings or misguided ones...for example...as much as I would love to feel any sort of love from my family for the first time in my life and as easy as it would be to pretend that it exists solely becuse my heart wants it so bad...my head knows better, my logic knows better and my gut really knows better......Heres another one....there is a man that I fell head over heels in love with yrs ago..he still has my heart actually and as much as it kills me that things are the way they are and as much as I could very easily go with my heart and let bygones be bygones and pretend that things would be ok my head knows it would be a huge mistake and it knows why....I could very easily let my heart rule in that situation but if I did, I would be setting myself up for a terrible experience....
