My Technology Has a Case of The Mondays…

…And it’s becoming frustrating. First, my mouse started giving me issues with highlighting text. It would start and then stop as I’d scroll. Then, it’d double-click every time click to open something. I even tried rebooting my laptop, and that took forever for some reason. My older sister is letting me borrow her mouse, and just as my niece and nephew got here with it, mine started working again. Nope, not risking it, so I’m using her mouse. My younger sister is also giving me a mouse from work because I’m not going to deal with this every time the mouse decides to give me trouble. I’ll save my mouse as backup and regularly test it to see if it’s time to toss it or not. I’ve had it for a few years, so it may be wearing down. So, with a working mouse, I was able to take care of a few things online. One of those things was joining another writing team with a regular client. I even grabbed an order. And then, the Internet decided to stop working. Oh, it still worked for the coffee shop, and other customers, but nothing was loading on my laptop despite being connected. Are you kidding me?!? I finally shut down my laptop and turned it back on, and it’s all working now. I actually meant to restart it, but I hit the wrong button. Oh, but the browsers have to load slow and nearly freeze here and there. Because why not? Of course, I had to play it cool and not completely have a meltdown over my devices not working today. I mean, I’m out in public. And it’s not going to solve anything except allowing me to vent. Now, I have about an hour and 15 minutes before I have to head home and work from there. I’m so frustrated at the moment. I’m wondering if my faulty mouse is the main culprit. *Sigh* I hope it loads smoother from here on out, and especially tomorrow, because I don’t have time for this. I wasn’t planning to post today. I’m not planning to post much until I finish catching up to my comments and notifications, but I needed to vent. I’m going to post this and get back to my writing order. You all stay safe and take care. P.S. - I doubt I’m going to get around to my comments and notifications today. I’m not really up to it. I just wanna work and get offline.
