I have been watching New Girl for a few hours because I can't sleep, and honestly, it is such an entertaining and funny show. Well, a new episode started a few minutes ago, and I wasn't really paying attention. I was listening, but I hadn't actually looked up at the TV in a few minutes. Then I heard a very distinctive voice. The voice belonged to the one and only Thomas Haden Church! If you don't recognize the name right away, you've probably seen him in something. He played Sandman/Flint Marko in Spider-Man 3, Jack in Sideways, which earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and Lyle Van de Groot in George of the Jungle. He's also appeared in movies like Idiocracy, Easy A, We Bought a Zoo, Daddy's Home, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and Hellboy. He's done plenty of television, too. He starred as Lowell Mather on Wings for six seasons, and has also appeared in shows like Divorce, Twisted Metal, and Tires. So that was kind of cool. I guess when I was told that there are a ton of guest stars in New Girl, they weren't lying! It's always fun when you're watching something casually and suddenly recognize an actor just by their voice. When was the last time you were surprised by a guest star in a TV show?
