Legendary musician Rod Stewart announced that he will retire after a tour in England next year. He recently had to cancel a bunch of shows because he needed a stent inserted due to heart issues. He was part of the band The Faces and then a solo artist. He was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of home twice for both. Some of his best-known songs include "Maggie May", "Stay With Me", "The First Cut is the Deepest", and "I Don't Want to Talk About It". (I'm sure @Four Walls will have an opinion on my list but those are the ones that first popped into my head) I saw him in concert like 30 years ago. I have to say I was disappointed because the set list seemed to focus more on his 80s hits than the stuff I really wanted to hear. It was a good show but just not what I was expecting. Hey good for him for finally hanging it up. He is over 80 years old now. Go live your life and relax. If only Madonna would get that memo.

Years ago, my sister got free tickets to see Rod Stewart, so she took me. The sound system for the concert was definitely not the best. Plus, it was rather ridiculous to watch grown women throw their panties (sorry, but they did) toward the stage, shrieking the entire time. We didn't stay for the whole thing, it was just nuts.

He is set for life so now he can just do the things he really enjoys doing,

I don’t know if I realized he was still touring. Oh, Madonna. Wow. Just, wow.

I agree. Good for him. I always liked his gravelly voice.

Sixty years is a real run, so good for him for going out on his own terms. Health comes first anyway, and he's earned the rest. Maggie May will always be my pick from his list, that song never gets old.
