Comb-overs. Why?

I've always wondered why men who do the comb-over do it. Do they actually believe that they are fooling people? Or do they know everyone knows but they still think it looks better than just totally exposing the bald head? Because it doesn't.

I guess I still don't understand doing a comb-over for vanity though. If you're vain you want to look good and comb-overs look really bad.

no they look bad but the stupidity of someone trying to hide natures dictat suggests the victim thinks they look good

I was hoping to get some responses from comb-overers on this, but I guess there's some deep denial going on. I even had a psychiatrist with a comb-over once. That struck me as pretty hilarious.
