Why do people have to abuse punctuation marks?

I've seen so many abused question marks, overcrowded exclamation points, overworked commas, and oh, the poor periods - they're either neglected or forced to do jobs they're not built for.
It's so sad. :(

Because people don't care about their language.
I agree.
It's damn hard to read questions when people do not punctuate!
