What should I do? Some people have suggested in sueing the county for not having warning signs for HIGH WATER The water was from field to field across the road here below is the story Rushville teen escapes serious injury in rollover Frank Denzler — A 911 call shortly after 10 p.m. Friday night sent medical, fire/rescue and law enforcement personnel to CR 715W, north of Homer. The responders were additionally informed to use extreme caution as the county road was covered by a thin sheet of ice. It was discovered that a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier had left the county road north of CR 100S and rolled before coming to rest, inverted on its top in nearby 18 inches of standing water. The driver, identified as Tyler Trowbridge, 18, of Rushville, suffered an unspecified arm injury. Following treatment at the scene by medical personnel from Life Ambulance, the teenager was transported to Rush Memorial Hospital where he was released a short time later. According to investigating officer Richard Gosser of the Rush County Sheriff’s Department, Trowbridge was northbound on CR 715W when he came upon a southbound vehicle which caused him to lose control of his Chevrolet. “The driver said he attempted to move to the east side of the county road after meeting another vehicle and in the process of that evasive action he lost control of his vehicle due, in part, to the water and ice covering the county road,” Gosser said. The other vehicle did not stop and its driver may not have known about the accident that occurred behind him. Trowbridge’s vehicle entered the roadside ditch before rolling, and then slid on its top roughly 75 feet and through a fence before coming to rest in a nearby field 35 feet from the county road. This was my daughters car and her boyfriend was driving it she still owes 3grand and only had plpd insurance Assisting at the scene were units from the Manilla Volunteer Fire Department, Life Ambulance, the RCSD and Davis Towing.
