What does the + - do?

I see where I can rate a comment by hitting the + for a good one or a - for a bad one. But what does that do? Does it determine how much the person gets credit for the comment? What about the Best Responses? Does that help people earn more faster? I'm not really sure what they are all for so I don't use them much. I can't find an answer in the myLot terms either... Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot...

best response will help the responder to earn more for the post.Usually best response will be given to one who gives quality response. So it is a appreciation of their effort.+ve sign will also increase their earning but not like the best response.best response can be given only by the starter of the discussion whereas + sign can be given by anybody who likes the topic and response.

yeah, I have a couple Best Responses too. I just wasn't sure if all that was hooked into the earnings. Thanks!

Im not sure about that. I think that will give quality on response or discussions and of course i believe it will give more earning to user you rate. about best response I think it's just same like + sign the people you choose will get more earnings.
