were you married in a church?

My huband and I did not get married in a church. Were we live, if you are not a member of a church you cannot get married in one. At the time we were not church goers, so we did not have the option of getting married in one. We ended up getting married in the old jail which doubles as the haunted house at Halloween time. It was different. I was still so happy though. I would have liked to be married in a church, but what really matters is why you are there, not where you are at.

yes i was married in a church, but i would have been fine not being married in a church, i love my hubby dearly, and i think that is what matters the most, but maybe you could have a renewal of vows at some point and do it where you want it done.

when i got married, I was married by my pastor, but we got married at the reception hall. I loked for convience for my guest when i got married. I also looked for my sanity too when I got married. It was much easier on myself and the guest to have everything done at one place.

My wife and I were married in Las Vegas in a chapel in a casino 13 1/2 years ago. It sure was less expensive than a church wedding. I don't think the location or cost of the wedding makes the marriage. I have seen people spend $10,000 on a traditional church wedding and be divorced in a year. My daughter was married in June and had an outdoor wedding at our family farm in front of a cabin by a pond. It was a very nice wedding. We had people commenting about how beautiful the wedding was for 6 months.
