If there's a heating problem then it's not the processors fault but it's your cooling systems fault. We all know anything that consumes electricity heats up fast so it's up to us to provide a good cooling kit for our pc's. I'd go for Intel, I have a QX6700 core and it simply outperforms my Athlon 64 X2 4000. Even my old dual core 3.4 and 3.8ghz outperform the X2 by a wide margin.

I prefer AMD,mainly due to its low cost compared to Intel.Intel is more reliable,i agree with you.Intel is prefered for the computers where repeated huge processing power is required.

AMD's heating problems disappeared long ago. in fact the athlon 64's are the coolest running processors around. in comparison intel's prescott range heats up massively and consumes huge amounts of power.

Intel is the best. Simple reason-It is a billions dollar corporation and they invest lot of money in research and development to get finer products

I prefer Intel, its a powerful working environment for developers and it consumes less power compared to that of AMD.. the only thing i'm against is its price..

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because --comparatively cheap --high performance --high stabilty --greater support for gaming i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2. thank you!

I prefer AMD Athlon 64 processor it is the newest processor of no heating problems of its class .the new Windows Wista is assigned to AMD 64 it works only in 664 bits ,,when INTEL was thinking of 32 bit AMD made 64 bit pc ...i have AMD i am playing NFS most wanted without graphics card ,...u must see the clarity of AMD while playing u will be thrilled
