I used to want to visit to see the culture and enjoy the sites but I have been told that it has become very tourist-centered, losing a lot of its original appeal and becoming commercialized.

Has anyone been recently? I'm trying to decide where I would like to go next summer and Jamaica could be on my list of places to go.

I just got back and we did stay at the resort the entire time. They are pretty careful about steering you in the right direction so you don't really get a full sense of how the real culture is. If we had had more time I would have liked to rent a car and see some of it for myself. It was georgous and the weather was phenominal!

I just got back the other day. 4 days, 3 nights at a great resort! It was fabulous! We didn't do that much because we weren't there very long, our next trip will be at least a week.

hey I like jamaica a lot! I wanna go there for a vacation! Do you live there? How is it there? Its tropical! Ow I love summer, beaches, sun, and a nice buffet of sea foods! Mmmmm... Here, its cold in my country where i live. We are now about to snow. Someday I can go there and enjoy Jamaica! Ciao!
