As we go up the temprature goes low down is this possible?

For Example when you are travelling in a plane the outside temprature is almost -55 Degress. How is this possible as we are appraching towards sun the temprature should go up.

the earth is warm because of the heat producted by the fiction caused by the light ray when it passes through air. so higher you go the air is less and light rays dont create any fiction. that is the reason why it is becomes chilly as u go up. and that is the reason why it is freezing in space.
