Adoption

Australia

I am now 55 yrs old and found my natural family when I was 39. I discovered my parents actually were married 3 yrs after I was adopted and that I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I was in contact with them for quite a few years, but then my natural father became ill and eventually died. From that moment on, (4yrs ago), I have had no contact from any of them, I wasn't even included in my fathers obituary notice. I would dearly love to be in contact with my sister but find I am now afraid to even write in case I receive another rejection. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so, how did you deal with it?

I haven't had a similar situation, but my husband is adopted and has been considering finding his real parents. We are in Australia too. How did you go about finding your parents? Can you give me some advice on where we can start please?

My friend is a girl and she is hoping for someone to adopt her before. But now she is 23 years old already.
