Who's to blame for truancy?

Do you think its right that parents face fines and even prison when there children play truant from school? should the schools be made more accountable?

No,parents shouldn't have to pay fines.I know both my parents worked when I was in school,so it was up to me to get up,ready and on the bus.I imagine there are alot of family's the same way.The kids,especially teenagers are responible for their actions.Find a solution that targets them,not their parents.Oh,I'm sure there are some bad parents out there that need to be punished but not for truancy.
