My brother gave me a book about world facts when I was about to turn 11 or 14. I wasn't much of a reader back then but the book had lots of pictures in it. One that caught my attention for the whole summer was that of the Stonehenge. From what I could remember, it served as some astronomical tool or an altar for sacrificing who know what for the ancient Druids...or it was rumored to be. I can remember the book saying that no one really knows for sure what it's for. I'd really like to visit it someday. Btw, any of know what it's for? Or do they still don't know what it was made to do? heheh. I guess I can always google it but I'd like to discuss this with you guys :-)

i have been to stonehenge and it is an amazing place. We still dont really know what it was for but it does seem to be linked to the druids and many of their nature ceremonies, particularly the summer and winter solstice
