Firemen and Police - A picture of firemen and policemen working together
I honestly don't think you could say one has the more dangerous jobs. Both jobs are very dangerous...police have to deal with dangerous people and firemen have to deal with dangerous forces of nature. Sometimes that changes though, I'm sure firemen have run into dangerous people and cops have run into dangerous nature. I admire them both and think they are both awesome!

Rural Fire Service - Firemen at Bushfire
They are both admirable and do a job which can at times be very dangerous. Of course it will depend on your country, because there is widespread corruption in the police forces in some countries. However here in Australia the firemen/women have a much more difficult time simply because of the nature of their work. Also in Australia, there are many volunteers who give their time to the Rural Fire Service, particularly in time of bushfires etc.

I admire the firemen. They run the risk of life more than policemen comparatively though both category people are called our protectors. The duty of the firemen is round the clock, though there are shifts. I had been to a late night show of a movie and while returning home at 1 p.m. I noticed a fire in a shop on roadside. Mobiles were not non-existent at that time, I entered a Star hotel and telephoned fire department. I had a coffee at the restaurant and came out of the hotel only to see that the fire was extinguished by some 50 fire fighters. Another time, a cooking gas cylinder was leaking and could get smell at 11.45 p.m. Immediately informed the fire department, anticipating the leaked gas might result in catching of fire. the firestation was 10 km away from our house and within 15 minutes, the posse of firemen were at house and in 2 minutes they repaired temporarily the cyclinder and advised us to used another cylinder. This leaking cylinder was taken to the gas company for proper repairs. The point I am driving home is both policemen and firemen are devoted public servants, but I am more inclined to put firemen on top for their magnanimity, catholicity and readiness to embrace sacrificing attitude, risking their lives to save the fire affected people.

I think firemen have more dangerous job because they have to go inside a burning building and that's why I admire them for their courage to do such a thing.

Firemen all the way. They are true heroes. They have such a dangerous job and the save lives everyday. Firemen are special people. Not to leave the ladies out, the fireladies are super special too. I should say firefighters.

Our Hero's - My hero's.
I most admire the fireman and WOMEN! I am the daughter of a fireman and their job is very rewarding and sometimes goes unrecognized. The year I was born,1967, my father became chief for the first time, some almost 40 years later he is still active and is now a commissioner. I give these men and women my up most respect.

They are not what you think about often during your normal routine. But we need to know they are there when an emergency happens!

firemen, putting their lives to put out the fire and save people is really something, it needs a lot of courage and sacrifice... in our country, policemen doesn't have such a good reputation, they are known to use their power to take advantage of situations, receiving bribes, etc. some of them were even involved in crimes...

I admire firemen more. There is something so brave and noble abot rushing into a burning building, rescuing kittens, the sirens and the hanging from the back of the trucks. I love their uniforms, too. I suppose while firemen face very intesne jobs, police are probably in a more risky position on a day to day basis. I just think there is something very romantic about firemen.
