Make Yourself is the third album by American alternative rock band Incubus, released by Sony on October 26, 1999. The album has been certified platinum in the United States. It featured three hit singles, "Pardon Me", "Stellar", and "Drive", all which reached the top five of the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. To many fans, Make Yourself represents a significant shift in the band's sound, with higher quality production sounds and a more mellow tone to it than its precursor, S.C.I.E.N.C.E. For all practical purposes, it is a concept album, with the recurring themes of not conforming to the norms of society and finding salvation in one's own identity. Vocalist Brandon Boyd's lyrics are more mature, rendering a polemic for fierce self-creation. In some ways Make Yourself acted as a preview of Morning View, the popular album that was to follow. The album was re-released as a special edition with an extra CD featuring six live and acoustic tracks. There was also a tour edition released, with a second CD containing three acoustic tracks and one live track. This is the first Incubus album to be recorded with new turntablist Chris Kilmore, who replaced DJ Lyfe. The song "Stellar" is featured in PlayStation 2 video game Guitar Hero. Anybody else like this band? What's your favorite song?

This is my favorite incubus album, with I Miss You being my favorite song on it - though that may be because it was the first one I ever heard.

i like make yourself, stellar, and pardon me, especially the acoustic versions. i took time to learn how to play these songs and my difficulty only shows that they're an awesome band.
