Why are condos so exspensive?

I know someone who just bought a condo and the paid in the range of $250,000 for it.The sqf is only about 800.Why is do they cost so much?There are houses that sell for less and have more sqf.

I don't know, but I think it's kinda crazy. I'd rather have my own house that's bigger. There are some condos that are going to built around here and they're apparently supposed to go for $700,000. WHAT???? Crazy, I tell you. I don't care if they're going to be in a brand new shopping center, that's just crazy nuts!

Usually they are in a very desireable location with most conveniences within walking distance. Also the maintenance is taken care of with condo fees (true that adds to the expense though)

WOW, What city do you live in? Here in fort worth tx you can find a great condo for $40,000 and up

Condos in my city are going for $300,000 to $400,000. It's strange to me as well because these are not in the most desirable locations. What we have seen lately is that they are remodeling apartment complexes and turning them into condos. It's very, very odd. Rent right now for apartments is ridiculous as well!

Because they are made to be expensive with the facilities they have.
