Do you think Favre will retire after this year?

I have heard several people, say that he is going to retire, cause he is getting to old. But then I heard that he just isnt getting any help from his team, and he is going to retire, but hope to get on another team.

I think he will. He's not had a good season now for a couple years and although Im sure he still loves the game, he has lost his touch!

To say he's lost is touch is inaccurate. He still has the same zip on the ball he had during the peak of his career. He just has less talent surrounding him. For example, last week, he threw an interception on a deep pass to Bubba Franks. At first, it looked like a bad decision on his part, but if you watch the review, Franks was open. If Franks was faster, he would have caught it for a touchdown.

I do have to agree with you on this, If he had more help on the field it he would be able to do better. He does have the speed on the ball yet, but just needs the help from his team mates.

My thought is he will return if he sees two things: 1. Drastic changes to correct a terrible defense 2. 1-2 more playmakers on offense, especially a receiver who can get open downfield. The team is struggling again this year but I think he feels they are ready to turn the corner and he'll come back for a chance at the playoffs.

I was telling my kids the same thing, That I thing he has one more superbowl try in him, and I dont think he will give up unless he has to for medical reasons.

Man oh Man oh Man, I sure hope so. Never liked him as a player at all, I know, your going to say they all act a certain way, but grrrrr, not me. Although I do know he does do alot for charity work, only good thing I can say about him.

I never understood why people don't like him (except maybe for Bears fans). He's a throwback athlete. He plays for the love of the game, not the money. You won't see him threatening to hold out or demand a trade because he's not making enough money, even though there are quite a few quarterbacks with less talent making more money than he is. And, you won't find anyone to match his toughness. He suffered an arm injury against the Patriots that probably would have ended most quarterbacks' seasons

Very true, there are several quarterbacks that would have hung up there helmet and took time off for that injury, I think he is trying hard to get another superbowl win under his belt just needs the help to get it done. And there are several quarterbacks that make alot more money than Favre does and have not been playing football as long as Favre has.

I think he should be... there a lot more guys which are a lot younger than him... although he can still compete but not 100% anymore... it is time for him to rest his helmet.

That may be true, but I think what Favre is after is another superbowl win before he retires, and if he has the team behind him and to help him, he could do it, and hopefully this will be his year.
